As with previous models, this scanner is very small and appears to be well built: it’s quite heavy for its small size and fits very nicely on my small computer desk. The scanning quality is equally spectacular.

This scanner does amazing work. Can scan up to 6200 or so, although realistically 2400dpi yields about the best for good quality negatives. The template/negative holders work very well.

The CanoScan LiDE110 is slim and the price was relatively cheap. A spiffy feature is the CanoScan’s ability to directly scan to PDF. So far, on various kinds of page, it has been crisp and accurate.

Overall, with the exception of the feed problems, this is a good scanner which I would buy again. Most of my complaints center around the software and drivers which come with the scanner. With better drivers and scanning software, this scanner would perform much better.

All the good things people say about tis scanner is true. It is small foot print, lightweight, but is great for the SOHO.
Integration with Evernote is fantastic. I found when scanner mutiple documents, it claims to scan up to 10 at a time, it’s more like only 5 at a time, any more than that it will grab more than one sheet, so it seemto be happy at 5. #2. I have not been able to figure out yet how to get it to scan, say a 20 page doc.I really like it. Easy set up. Easy to use. Fast. Great Image quality. Handles different sizes of paper well. It’s doing exactly what I wanted and expected it to do.
You sometimes need to help guide the paper through on multiple page scans as the feeder tray does not have very high sides to keep paper straight. This is only a minor nuisance.

The auto color detection is a nice idea, and the color high compression mode is nice as long as any images don’t need to be high quality, as it results in much smaller file sizes.

The Canon CanoScan 9000F includes good software with an easily used interface. Under the basic mode are a couple layers of options you’ll need to use if you want to get the best scans. Overall, excellent for prints, marginal for slides and negatives.
